My Uncle Clint recently had surgery.  I’ve been thinking about him alot lately and wanted to let him know he was in my thoughts.  So I made him this card :

I know it’s not really manly, but I thought it was pretty – It uses the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp set, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip and Sage Shadow CS, chocolate chip, mellow moss, and sage shadow ink, and the scallop edge punch. I stamped the branch on the envelope as well. I stamped the inside with a nice sentiment from the same set.

I don’t know about you, but I find it really hard to design a birthday card for men.  This is a design I cased from stamp? on Splitcoaststampers.  I thought it was pretty close to a masculine card even though my dh says it’s kind of cutesy!   Oh, well, I guess we do what we have to do. . .  . .

I also stamped the packages on the envelope!  I’ll be giving this card to either my dad-in-law or bro-in-law later this month!  I hope they like it.  Inside, I embossed  the message  ” Live, Laugh & Love  happy birthday”

This card uses the Big Bold Birthday set, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, and Whisper White CS,  Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery and Old Olive ink and white embossing powder. We’ll be making this card at my Stamp-A-Stack later this month!  For details, check the list of upcoming events on my Stampin’ Up! website.

Botanical Blooms Bday Card

Okay, so I’m completely in love with the current promotion!  Spend $50 get a free Sale-A-Bration item!  What could be better?   So, my first SAB order came in with of course, FREE STUFF!   One of my new sets is the Botanical Blooms-  I love this set!! So, of course, I had to pull it out and ink it immediately.   I really love how this card came out.  I  used the certainly celery ribbon from the SAB ribbon bundle (ALSO FREE!), the SAB Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper (AGAIN, FREE!),  the new eyelet punch,  Whisper White CS, Sahara Sand CS, So Saffron CS, and a So Saffron brad (part of the soft subtles brads).

Valentine's Day Card

Here’s the valentine’s day card I made for my dh.  Shhh.  Don’t tell!    I think it turned out really cute!  We made this card at my Open House on Saturday.

Stamp Set:  Stampin’ Up! Happy Heart Day

Paper:  Close to Cocoa Textured CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Watercolor Paper, Old Olive CS

Ink:  Close to Cocoa, Basic Gray, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive

Other:  Small Ticket Punch, 1/8″ circle punch,  Circles Fire Rhinestone Brads,  1 1/4″ Pink Pirouette Grosgrain Ribbon.
