Soccer and kids. . . . .

My nephew Connor just started playing soccer .  He’s almost 5.  We didn’t get to be there but I got to see the pictures that gamma took.   I couldn’t resist creating a couple of scrapbook pages with them.   I downloaded the pics into My Digital Studio and had this page in less than 5 minutes.

Here’s the first one . . . . .

Aren’t they just so cute!    Here’s the second page. . . .

My hubby labeled one of the pictures with the “rules” saying – after watching the video, it seemed really appropriate.  Bless his heart – he looked like he was having a great time, but he really didn’t get the rules at all.  It was so cute to watch.

Thank You!

I’m in a Thank You card swap on Stampin’ Addicts – so if you’re swapping with me and don’t want to see it before you get it. . . . . . STOP NOW!  Otherwise, feel free to check it out!

Stampin’ Up! just gave demonstrators a sneak peak of a stamp set that will be in the new catalog coming out in June!  I’m soooo excited!  Of course, I had to order it as soon as I could.      While I was waiting,  I noticed the cutest card made by Jaydee.  And of course, I  just had to try it.    I absolutely love it!!

One more day of Old Scrappin'

Here’s the last 2 layouts  that we did in the Sunshine Garden class last year.   I had forgotten how much I really loved this kit and Baja Breeze especially.

For this layout, I stamped flowers from  Petal Pizzazz using So Saffron and I added the striped Baja Breeze Ribbon.

Finally, here’s the last layout from that class.

For this layout, I used the big shot and the birds and blooms die as well as the Beautiful Butterflies die, and the round tab punch to add some texture to the page.

Well, that’s all the old pages that were lurking in my craft room.  Hope you found some inspiration from them.

Spring Scrappin' Continues

Here’s the next 2 layouts in the Sunshine Garden Series.  These are so spring like.  It almost makes me believe it’s warm outside.  At least until I step out there!

Hoping for Spring. . . . .

I was cleaning out my craft area and came across some layouts that I did for a class last year.     I can’t believe I still haven’t put pictures on them yet!  I’m going to have to do that soon.   I used the Sunshine Garden simply scrappin kit, which is retired now.  You could easily create similar layouts with some of our current Simply Scrappin Kits.

I cased a lot of the ideas in this set of pages, but it’s been so long, I can’t find where I cased them from – if it was yours – send me the link!

There’s 10 pages in this layout, so I’ll just show a couple at a time for the next few days.   When we got down, we still had a lot of stuff from the kit we hadn’t used yet.  These kits are a great way to do a whole album.

The colors used in this layout:  Baja Breeze, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive.   The stamped image is from Thoughts and Prayers.  The swirl is from the Big Shot Decorative Strip Swirly.

Scrappin' in My Digital Studio

I was online this weekend, trying to keep from looking down (I have a sinus infection again), and noticed a wonderful scrapbooking sketch challenge on Stampin’ Addicts.

It looked so cute, I just had to give it a try.  I’ve been wanting to finally get around to scrapbooking a great trip I took to the Grand Canyon several years ago (okay, so 2003 was quite a few years back).  This sketch looked like it would be a great first page in the book.

The main colors are Old Olive, Real Rust, So Saffron, and So Suede.   I used some of the different DSP that’s available in My Digital Studio and some scrapbooking fonts that unfortunately aren’t available for sale anymore.   I really love how quick and easy it is to make a project like this.
