Friday I was reading  some of the blogs I follow in my google reader.      I had gotten behind and so in catching up, I saw this post by Pretty by Hand for the first time.  Her mini quilt is sooooo gorgeous.   I kept thinking about it and going back to look at it for hours.   She based it on a quilt called Spot On that is in Camille’s book Simplify.    I am so going to have to buy this book now.   Anyway, the more I thought about it, the more I thought, “that would look so cute in my bathroom.”   I need something to hang in there.   REALLY, I do.     My bath is green and browns, so I started going through my stash and decided I had everything I needed except for the sashing.  After a quick trip to JoAnn’s, and several hours later, I’d figured out how to create my own mini quilt.   This is my first mini quilt and I still have to finish it.   I’m hoping to quilt it this week after I finish my “honey-do” list.  In the meantime, I’m so excited about this little quilt top that I had to share it.   Once I finish it, I’m going to frame it behind glass so that it doesn’t get wet since I’ll be hanging it in the bathroom.

Isn’t it just too cute?!   I’m so excited about how it’s turning out!
